If your contacts are having trouble receiving text messages when you activate your Duress Halo, continue reading.

 

Check that you are sending Alerts.

If you are sending the alert with the app open, please make sure that you can see the "Halo activated" screen.

If you are sending alerts, make sure that you are receiving a push notification that says "Emergency declared". This confirms that your Halo has successfully sent a signal to your phone to activate an alert.

You're not receiving push notifications?

Go into your settings and make sure notifications are enabled for Duress Halo to receive all activation confirmations.

  • In iOS devices you will find this setting in Settings > Notifications > Halo
  • In Android devices you will find this setting in Settings > App Settings > Halo

 

Check the phone numbers.

Head into your menu selection and go to Emergency Contacts. Double check all numbers and ensure that the correct country code has been included.
