What is a reboot?
A reboot means you are turning the device off and then back on again. It's like restarting a computer. It generally means that you are restarting a system or booting the system again.
Duress will regularly update the Falcon software with new features or security updates remotely. When rebooting the device, it will search for these new updates and update your Falcon if you have a stable internet connection.
Our Customer Success team might also tell you to reboot your device if you have requested a feature change.
It's always a good idea to reboot your device to restart the system if you're having any trouble with your device, as it might be solved with a software update.
Rebooting a Falcon
Press and hold the long and flat power button on the right side of your Falcon for 2 seconds until the power off options appear.
Now, press the blue 'Reboot' option to reboot your Falcon.
