Set up Charger

  1. In a well-ventilated area, place your charging pad on a flat surface.

  2. Your Phoenix 2 comes with a USB-A to USB-C charging cable. Connect the USB-C side of the cable into your charging pad

  3. Plug the charging cable into a power adapter (sold separately).

  4. Plug the adapter into a power outlet. Once your charging pad is plugged in and ready to charge your Phoenix, a light on the charging pad will glow blue.

Begin Charging your Phoenix 2

  1. Place your Phoenix Card on the charger face down and upside down. Make sure it aligns with the edges of the charging pad and that you can see the back of the card (as shown in the image above). This is the only position that allows the Phoenix to charge.
  2. When the Phoenix Card is aligned properly, a blue and red will appear on the card to indicate it is charging. The charging pad will show a red light while it is charging your Phoenix. If the charging pad is flashing green, your card has not been placed on the charging pad correctly.

Check Battery Level

  1. When fully charged, your Phoenix Card and charging pad will show a green light to indicate it is fully charged. Your Phoenix Card will usually charge in less than 15 minutes and you can remove it from the charger anytime during the charging process.
  2. You can also check the battery level of your Phoenix Card in your Duress App under "Duress Phoenix". This only works if your card is paired to your App.

Once fully charged, the battery of your Phoenix Card will last up to 1 year, depending on your usage.

Preventing Damage to Your Battery

Certain factors may lead to battery damage:

  • Leaving your Phoenix on the charger for a period of time greater than one week. Charging while at maximum capacity for extended periods of time can reduce battery life substantially.
  • Long exposure to extreme temperatures (hot/freezing).
  • Allowing your Phoenix's battery to reach 0% can affect its longevity.

If you suspect damage has occurred, or you've noticed a drain in the battery, please submit a request here. Our team will be in touch as soon as possible.
