Check In

Duress App only

Check In Long

Our Check In feature allows users to check in to a location and set a safety timer. The default time of the timer can be set up by administrators in the Duress Portal. Furthermore, the user can adjust the safety timer themselves on their device.

  • If the user successfully checks out before the timer ends, the information of their visit will be logged in the Duress Portal.
  • If the user fails to check out and the Safety Timer counts down to zero, Duress will either:

a) check out the user automatically

b) send a Team Alert notification to the team

c) activate an emergency and notify the appropriate people

Team Alert Flow2

The Team Alert feature can notify other team members when it is activated. Who it notifies depends on the team settings which can be configured in the Duress Portal. Only the user that activated the Team Alert can decide the next course of action, either:

a) cancel the Team Alert

b) activate an Emergency to escalate the emergency to our Monitoring Centre

Emergency-1

The Emergency feature connects the user with our 24/7 Monitoring Centre. When activated, our Operators will observe the footage and decide whether or not the activation needs further escalation to emergency services.

  • If the activation footage looks like a false alarm (i.e. it is safe to contact the user), the Operator will call the user. They will confirm the safety status of the user and:

a) close the case if the user confirmed they are safe.

b) notify emergency services if the user confirms they need assistance.

  • If the activation footage looks like an emergency (i.e. it is not safe to contact the user as they are in danger), Operators will notify emergency services immediately (in this case they will NOT contact the user).

Are you OK?

Duress App

Duress Feature Flows (Simple)

Are you ok? Is great feature that you can set up in your Duress Pathfinder (Dashboard) allowing you to check in on your entire organisation, a specific team or an individual.

Are you ok? is set up within your Duress Pathfinder in the main menu and will be sent out at the configured times.

  • If the user responds to the notification, their response will be logged in the Portal.
  • If the user fails to respond to the notification, a Team Alert will be sent out to the relevant people (this can be configured in the Duress Portal)

This is only available for Duress App V3.0. What version do I have?

Falcon

Are You OK? Falcon

Similar to the Are you OK? flow for Duress Apps, the user will have 60 seconds to confirm they are safe. The only difference is that if the user fails to respond to a notification, an emergency will be activated.
