What happens during an Emergency?
You can activate an Emergency if you think you may need assistance from emergency services. You will stream video and audio to our 24/7 Monitoring Centre who can get emergency services to attend your location if it looks like you need their help.
If you activate an Emergency, a notification with your live GPS location, live audio and video will also be sent out to your SMS Contacts. A notification that you have activated an Emergency can also be sent out to the other Duress Eagles in your team.
Note: If the Operators can see the activation was an accident, they will call you to confirm that you are safe. Operators will NOT call you if they can see there is an emergency taking place; they will request emergency services immediately.
Activating an Emergency.

 | 2 - Active EmergencyAfter you activate, you will be given 3 seconds to cancel before your emergency goes live. The 24/7 Duress™ Operations Centre and your nominated Team Managers will then be able to view your live video, audio and location. |
 | 3 - Cancel EmergencyTo cancel an emergency, tap Cancel Emergency on the screen or press the emergency button for two seconds. Duress Operators will call your Eagle to confirm you are safe. After they have confirmed that you are safe, they will close your case. If they are unable to reach you, Duress Operators may contact emergency services. |

Emergency Operators
The Duress Operations Centre is an A1 Graded Monitoring Centre, this rating gives us a priority and a direct line to emergency services making it quicker for you to receive the help you need. Duress Operators are highly trained and authorised to escalate activations on your behalf.
Once an Emergency is activated, your Duress Eagle will stream live video, audio and location to our 24/7 Operations Centre, who can see and hear what is happening.
Your assigned Operator will monitor the activation for signs of verbal or physical abuse, threats, violence, weapons, duress or harm towards you.
Based on the footage, they will either escalate to emergency services or call you to confirm you are safe if they believe the activation is a false alarm.
