V3.0 is an optional update of the Duress app that you can download from the App Store. The update includes Automated Check Ins, Check Outs, Safety Timers, Team Alerts and Location Updates. All of this on top of the existing Duress App features.
Smart Check In
Smart Check In lets you check-in to a location, set a timer, and check-out, all automatically, and all without touching your phone.
Tap the check in button to check into a location, which also automatically sets a safety timer. If automatic check ins are enabled for your team, any locations nominated by your organisation will automatically check the user in as soon as they arrive through Geo-fencing technology.
When leaving, users tap Check Out to signal they have safely left the location which also cancels their safety timer. If automatic check outs are enabled, they will automatically be checked out as soon as they leave the Geo-fence location.
Location Info
Your team can now leave a note for the next person regarding the safety of a location, and highlight any safety issues which are automatically made available to the team manager.
After a user checks out of a location, they can be asked how safe the location was. They can simply tap good (๐) or not good (๐). If they say ๐, we ask them to leave a quick note about why they felt unsafe there. It only takes a second to write the note and it can be done from the lock screen.
The next time a user from that team visits that location, they automatically receive the safety status as soon as they enter the Geo-fence. This not only gives them an indication of what to expect, but it also contributes to the safety score of that location. The more issues that have been reported at that location, the lower the score will be giving the individual, your team, and the whole organisation a real time safety status of all locations they visit.
Team alerts
If you need assistance but do not require emergency services, tap "Team Alert". This sends a request for assistance to your nominated contacts which can be your team managers, your entire team, or both. They will let you know if they can assist you or not. If you no longer need assistance, simply tap cancel to let your team know you no longer need their help.
Occasionally your team mates may need assistance and you will be notified in real time of their whereabouts. If you say you can assist, you will receive their exact location with the option to call them or get directions.
Emergency
If you are in an emergency situation and are unable to call 000, activate an emergency through the Duress App. Your phone will begin streaming live video, audio and location data directly to the Duress Operations Centre who are available 24/7 and will monitor the video and audio and will escalate to emergency services if required.
In an emergency, the Duress Operators will begin monitoring, verification and escalation to emergency services where required.
In addition, the nominated people at your organisation receive real time status updates of the emergency, including the live video and location.
